My Adventure Through Florida

Travelling to the states has always been an excitement of mine, and have always loved every second when I visit. In the summer of 2017, i was lucky enough to go travelling down Florida, from Orlando to Miami and finally down to the Keys. The whole experience was memorable, and am hoping I can share some of my thoughts and tips on how to gain an incredible vacation with either your mates or family.

On a misty and cold English morning, we flew from Heathrow airport to Orlando, arriving at 10:00AM. There was only one reason for being in Orlando in the summer, like any other classic family, and that was for Universal Studios and Disney (of course). We stayed in the Loews Hotel onsite, and was blown away by the perks of staying onsite at the parks. It is quite expensive, but if you are going for a full blown experience at all of the parks (or even just 2) it is definitely worth it. Being at an onsite hotel, you get the fast passes FREE OF CHARGE, and it also comes with an hour earlier in the parks than the rest of the public in the mornings. This may differ from each hotel, but ours did offer these incredible perks which save a lot of money. Loews also offers an extra level of ‘privilege’ as you may call it, though you do have to pay extra. At ‘Clublevel’ you are given a dedicated floor and the ‘Club room’, which gives you a variety of foods and drinks for Breakfast, lunch and dinner (and snacks in-between) all for free. Every evening there is also a Happy hour that gives drinks out free of charge. As you can see, both the aspects of being onsite and being on club level (at Loews) has tramendous perks and money saving deals. If you are planning on going to Orlando for the Universal and Disney parks, then i would definitely recommend staying on an onsite hotel. If you have any questions about buying tickets or about the hotels, feel free to email me. (Sorry for rambling on btw).

After a week in Orlando, we waved goodbye and set forth to our next destination – Miami. On our way down we decided to visit Kennedy Space Centre, as it was going to be the only chance to go for quite a while. If your looking for a cheap day out, i would definitely recommend it. Though there was a storm coming, we did decide to stay the day. Theres plenty to do, but it may be boring for the little ones.

After our day looking around, we got on our way to Miami. As it was in the summer, there were storms and rainclouds in the afternoon, so make sure to plan and research the best time to visit. We arrived at our hotel in the evening, and had dinner at the hotel bar. Miami can be expensive, making sure you have cheaper options for some nights for dinner is a great idea for splitting up the expenses, even if it just means having a takeaway every now and then. When in this great city, you must make sure you visit Prime112. This restaurant is the best i have ever been to, they treat you like royalty and the food is exquisite. To also get the best experience, make sure to visit south beach and the shops.

  2. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was
wondering what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Appreciate it
